Performance for Jorinde Voigt, Lisson Gallery (2017)

‘Jorinde Voigt’s third exhibition with Lisson Gallery reveals the artist’s cross-disciplinary and multidimensional approaches to large-format drawing, culminating in a live performance produced in collaboration with musician Beatrice Dillon. From her organisational systems of scores, notations, chapters and verses to the time signatures, impulse points, algorithms and arithmetic inscriptions embedded in her drawings, Voigt creates a synaesthetic world through these interrelated compositions.’

”Dillon’s ‘Taut Line’ mapped out the space with loud standing waves. As you walk around the cave you have the physical sensation of walking through sound as your tiniest movement changes what you are hearing” - The Wire Magazine
